Colour, Remembered Exhibition

Colour is a vessel for emotion, symbolic meaning, embodied experience, and memory. In contemporary art, colour may be employed as a mnemonic device to anchor personal and collective histories through sensory association, emotional resonance, and assigned meaning. Whether through repetition, immersion, displacement, or saturation, artists may leverage colour in their work to navigate the precarious boundaries between remembering and forgetting. This exhibition invites artists to consider how colour resides in their memory – how it lingers, evolves, and communicates layered narratives of experience.
